Mathematics for Scientists: An Introduction

Michael Bulmer

This new book is published here. See the blurb and a brief biography of the author.

The book can be downloaded in three formats.

The first format is for readers with a desktop or laptop computer. There are three pdfs giving the table of contents, the body of the book and the index. To navigate the body of the book on screen on a Mac the reader may export the screen shot as a pdf, open it with Preview and view it with Thumbnails. These pdfs can be printed either on US Letter (8.5" x 11") or A4 (8.27" x 11.69") paper. There will be equal margins on each side.

The second format is for readers with a tablet computer. It splits the book into individual chapters to decrease the size of the files:

The third format is for readers who would like to print a double-sided version with a gutter margin that can be bound in a ring binder or more professionally. The book is split into individual chapters but with some chapters combined so that each file begins on an odd-numbered (recto) page and ends on an even-numbered (verso) page. As before the pdfs can be printed either on US Letter (8.5" x 11") or A4 (8.27" x 11.69") paper but the margins will be unequal:

I hope this works for you.
